Houston: Wheelers for the Wounded Toy Drive - 11/13/2011

"Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus."

Event Location: Northwest Dodge located 19616 Northwest Freeway Houston Tx. 77065

    Date: Sunday - November 13th

    Time: 11am to 4pm

Show and Shine with Boy Scouts choice award. Mild and Wild Class. Cost one toy to get enter and earns you raffle tickets. RTI Ramp $5 earns you raffle tickets... Games all day and many ways to earn raffle tickets throughout the day.

Northwest Dodge will be hosting a Toy Drive & Care Package Event to collect New Toys for children ages 3 months to 16 years old as well as Care Packages to be mailed to our military personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan. Toys can be dropped off at the dealership any time prior to and on the day of the big event November 13th 2011. All toys collected will be distributed in December to children of wounded soldiers in December. This year we have over 250 kiddos on the base and would like to have enough toys for all of them.

Care packages will be sent to soldiers deployed overseas and in harm's way. They won't celebrate Christmas like those of us back here in Houston; they are off defending our freedoms and it is our chance to give back. Say Merry Christmas by providing care package items that will make a difference for these brave men and women. Care package items needed are toiletries like: shaving cream, deodorant, razors, toothpaste, underwear, and t-shirts.

Main Event: Northwest Dodge is hosting this event benefitting Wheelers for the Wounded, MoMsUSA and Cypress Cares. The event will take place at Northwest Dodge located at 19616 Northwest Freeway, Houston Tx. 77065. The date for event is November the 13th from 10am to 4pm. The need has never been greater as so many troops remain deployed in harm's way; both for the soldiers in the field and their families who once again will spend the holidays without their loved ones. For all those that donate to this worthy cause you will receive raffle tickets to win big screen TV's, ipads, ipods, and numerous $25 gift cards to local restaurants and businesses. For those in the off-roading community you can win accessories for your vehicles in a special show-n-shine event.

Visit our website at http://www.NorthwestDodge.com/toydrive for more information. There will be free food, refreshments, live entertainment and a big screen TV with the Texans game will be on hand for all those to enjoy while participating in this worthwhile event benefitting our soldiers and their families.

    Raffle Information

Attendees can earn 1 raffle ticket per gift or 5 raffle tickets per $25 value gift donated (receipt please), 1 raffle ticket per care package item or 5 raffle tickets per $25 value care package item(s)(receipt please), 5 raffle tickets for entry in show-n-shine w/toy or care package item, or 5 raffle tickets per $25 contribution to National Memorial Ladies (building a memorial in the Cy-Fair area, honoring our Houston area Fallen Heroes).

    PRIZES:
We will have some amazing prizes to give away too; Turkeys (Thanksgiving is right behind the event), 3 Large screen flat panel TV’s, multiple I-pods and I-pads, many gift certificates to local restaurants and retail stores, off-road accessories for the numerous off-road clubs that will be participating in our 2nd show-n-shine event this year, along with trophy’s for the top 3 winners in 3 different competing classes and many, many more cool gifts. 4Wheel Parts is also stepping up with some awesome prizes. Anyone going to this? I'm a little far up to make it but I would like to send some cash for a toy.
If you go off roading and you don't break something or get stuck - were you really off roading???

Yeah, I'll take donations in the forum's name & buy toys with it. Receipts would be posted...
Note: If you're going to do this, please do so by 11/8 so I can guarantee delivery from Amazon. I'd want to stretch your dollar for the best return.

EDIT: Another option is to buy a toy online & ship it to me to take there. At least then you can pick what you want to give...

This is on my radar, not sure yet if I can make it. But I can support either through a toy or by donating through Rich.

Thanks to those who sent something. If there's a god, you bought your way into heaven.

For those who didn't, you're cheap bastards with no hearts. That is all.

With some of the shit I've done; I don't think $10 will even get me close enough to see the glow of the lights of heaven.
