This sounds like a good idea. Where did you read about needing 33s and locker? I would like explore to the east of highway 259 into the national forest.

I'm interested in the trip; but now I'll probably have to see if my wife can make it or not. They changed the rules for time off today and she won't have enough time with the company to qualify for time off by then.
If you go off roading and you don't break something or get stuck - were you really off roading???

I didn't, but I don't want to play recovery the whole trip either.

I hear you on that but it's a pretty easy trail. I only used 4 low in spots to crep down hills so I could enjoy the scenery without braking.
If the vehicle in the first pic can make it, a stock 4x4 should be good.

Cool; so if I get my PreRunner a locker I should be good for that trail.

I like the fender flare on that lifted 4Runner.

I remember that trip. I think that trip sucked more when this happened.

I'm just saying a stock 4x4 can make it down the 100 mile stretch I explored. I would not advise a 2wd to tag along due to potential obsticals.

I'll agree.. that was the super suckage of the day.

I'm just trying to make sure that no matter what the weather or trail conditions... or if we want to take a detour.. we are all set to do it.

I think a chain saw would be the most needed tool out there. But yes if we want to explore making sure everyone is capable makes for a better trip.
