    Expedition Overland series

Hard to watch while I am here at work, but the scenery looks great. And yeah, you might mute it..

That's a big heavy bike with crappy offroad tires to be rock hopping. I wonder why he chose it - sponsors maybe?

So anyone up to hit the road and head west for a few weeks? I just need the time off work, kitchen pass, winch, lockers, and probably lots of other crap. If I can get these things together by Monday let go.

Funny this is here. Mario is from Costa Rica. This weekend we did a little tour of miner's cabins. While chillin in one of the cabins, we were contemplating a trip to Costa Rica and back - with our Tacos. SirMarlon is Costa Rican too! Would be a good start to an article... I was talking about the idea of a sponsorship from Pinkerton or Black Water!!!

I'm going to have to hit up the local CC and take some conversational Spanish classes. All I know now is how to order beer and ask where the pisser is.

I can't order beer, but could definitely ask for a hand job,

Hey everybody, this is Ryan from Expedition Overland. Just thought i would get on here to answer any questions you guys may have.

    For the first one...

Its my only bike, I had it before we even conceived the show. I bought it in March of this year, and i have put 15,000 mi on the bike. Mostly for my job, but my wife and I took a nice trip over to Wisonsin to visit some family. I chose the bike, because it is fairly comfortable for doing 600 mile days on the highway, and it is also fairly capable off road. It could use some improvements. (Like a new front suspension, and steering stabalizer)

Long story not so long, its the best bike i could find that could do long highway miles, and be pretty goog off road. Is it the best offroad bike? definitely not. Is it the best bike for doing 200 miles of highway to get to a nice trail? I think so.

Anyway, we are also having a giveway for a jerrycan. Let me know if i can post the details to that here, or of there is a better place on the forum for that.

Thanks again, and thanks for having me in the forum!!!!

    Ryan

I finally just watched the 2nd episode. Pretty good stuff highlighting the importance of carefully choosing the route and noting that just because something CAN be done doesn't mean it SHOULD

One of my favorite things about the show is that you all carry a side arm. It's a refreshing change to most of the outdoor programs on television where the real danger of the outdoors is set aside for the sake of political correctness. I wonder how many emails were sent from viewers concerned about how you disturbed that bear's habitat?
