Thinking about putting an antenna back on the truck but I'm thinking a stubby or some super flexy one. Any experiences?

I know a local guy who was running a stubby till it touched a tree branch and broke off his mount so depending on your trails I would stick with flexible, but that's IMO for my region.
I have a stubby because the stocker would hit the garage door when I pull in or out. It solved the garage door problem, but as far as reception goes it sucks.

I have a shorter than stock antenna and it has been pretty good for reception and looks IMO. I'll post a pic when I get home.
If you go off roading and you don't break something or get stuck - were you really off roading???
You can just take your OEM antenna, take the plastic cap off of the top, and trim it to the length you want and put.the cap back on. Your reception will be worse obviously. I remember reading about that a long time ago on tardworld.
