    It's gear dependent becasue 4th gear turns the exact rpm as the engine. There's a term for it but I can't remember.

    Might a bearing going bad? Or its just the aftermarket clutch. My monies on the clutch. I would change the fluid and not worry with it, then when you change the clutch put in an oem or a URD clutch.

    Yeah, if you already drove it from Cali to TX and it hasn't goten worse, then it's definitely not gonna be a big issue anytime soon

    I'm sure it's annoying though

    Back when I was still on TW, there were several threads about the issue floating around in the 4cyl section. I seem to remember the TSB involved sound deadening material, .

    That makes sense why it's only audible in 4th gear. I think I will change the fluid, and not worry about it. When it gets to annoying, I will replace the clutch. Thanks for all the input.
