Are you able to take the bolts out, or is that what's seized? I had to use two 18" breaker bars to remove the ones on my Tacoma

Drew I got the nuts loosened but it is that crappy 1 piece design one side has both bolt/pins connected to it and they have to slide out together/same time and hell aint having it move 1 the other pin binds and vise versa I think

When I put in new shackles on my '87 4Runner I ended up using a long bar to push down on the end of the leafs to get the pressure off of the bolt so as to drive it out. Once I had that going it didn't take me and a buddy long to get them swapped out.
If you go off roading and you don't break something or get stuck - were you really off roading???

I might be able to shake loose some time this weekend; but right now I'm tied down. Do you have a scissor jack you could slip in there and expand to get the pressure off? then drive them out? I do remember they were a real bitch to deal with.

I have been threw several sets of 47" rear leaf's and bent them all. The problem is that the springs are just not long enough to give the flex I am looking for. You have to set your bump stops to limit the flex, or do what I did and relocate the hangers and swap in some longer springs.

Stupid question but what is the advantage of that style shackle (all one piece) vs the typical 2 piece shackle?
