    Question Rebuilding wheel hubs

    Calling out for help / advice...
    How in the hell do I get the inner and outer bearing races out of my hubs

    Mmmm, I think they are part of the brake rotor. The bearing will come out, but the outer race stays put

    That makes more sense. You can't snag the edge with a punch and hammer it out?

    Those look way different from my FJ80 hubs

    You are right - A press - but that's to put them back in. To get them out - use a punch. - I guess if you have a press set up that would allow you to get the lip - you could.

    Ok so the freezer worked great wife wasnt real happy but hey got do what we do... Race popped out with 3 god taps and installed new ones using old races on top of new ones and 2 pieces of 3/16th stock metal and clamp like a charm

    Replace those hub studs with ARP units while you got it apart. With a locker, chromo axles and crawler gears the Asian hubs will fly apart. Ask Drew.. mine tried to kill him.

    funny you said that - I have been trying to pawn off one as a parts cleaner to some friends - If I have a barn or more room in my garage, I would install it in a minute for that purpose. Set it and forget it - an hour or so later, you have clean parts!
