    Tex's black 2010 Build

Dont have a catchy name for my truck like most of you but oh well.

Not much to my build but I hope be able to add to this as time goes on.

The day I brought it home. The wheels are Helo Maxx 6 and tires were Kumho Roadventure AT. These were on my old truck and the dealer swapped them for me.

Installed a Cobra 75 CB. Also put in a small external speaker to help out the CB. Installed it in the little cubby to the right of the steering wheel.

Next I installed new suspension componets by Old Man Emu. Shocks, 885 coil springs, and Dakar leaf springs. This gave me almost 2 inches of lift in the front and just under 3 out back.

Added some new tires and went with Firestone Destination MT in 265/75/16. I really like these tires and have nothing bad to say. When I go with 33's I will probably go with these.

I also put on a new rear bumper. This was an upgrade sooner than expected due to a damaged rear bumper and bed side. The damaged bed side was cut off to install the high clearance bumper. I went with CBI over the others due to the style and their service was fantastic.

I was tired of the fake chrome grill on the front so I made a Satoshi. I had a local body shop paint it to match the truck.

My most recent mod is the tire carrier. I made this to get the tire out from under the truck. I put it on hinges so I can lift it out of the way to still use the bed.

A few random shots of my truck.

That is pretty much it for now. Who knows what the future will hold for it.

Thanks. It was my weekend project and attempt to learn how to weld again. I just need to build a cross bar so I can lift it up out of the way when I need the whole bed.

I got it from a guy over there back in April. I can look to see if I can find his info. It was about $30.

Cool thanks. I found some, but it only comes in 12"x12" sheets. I'm going to do the grill on the T100. I have everything but the mesh.

How do you keep the tire carrier from bouncing around? Does it lock in place somehow?

I haven't finished that part yet. I have a plan to bolt it to bed floor. After driving to and from work I didn't notice it bouncing or making noise. I am sure that will be a lot different if I were to take it offroad.

The tire carrier is a pretty good solution to a problem.

    Subbing.
If you go off roading and you don't break something or get stuck - were you really off roading???
