2x if that doesn't work cut the tail housing off and then split the adapter off

Already removed the tail housing to get at the adapter. Cutting off the output shaft is a last resort

no, I'm gonna use the hydraulic from my engine hoist and weld together a press to get it off

I've got a 20 ton press at the house Drew... of course its a 75 mile drive. Just saying.

Well, my homemade press worked like a charm. Took all afternoon to build with several distractions and pausing to fix my welder. But After all that effort, it took < 5min to get the coupler separated. Pics coming

Got just about everything buttoned up. Just need to add gear oil to the tranny and reinstall my starter.

While drinking beers with Chris last night, we decided we need to try to make a trip sometime in the next month. The weather is way too nice to be web wheeeling.

I'm planning to be at HF next Saturday (15th) Not going to do anything too crazy and probably won't be out there the whole day but we'll be camping in Blanco so think we're going to drive out there Saturday morning and stay until just after lunch. Right now it's just me and two buddies but only two vehicles.
