I designed the back half in Bendtech. Bendtech gives me the angles, cut lengths, and cope profiles for each piece. Now that only works if everything is perfect, but we all know that's not the case. Some adjustments are necessary as always.

Oh yes - springback, number of beers drank, etc. can cause the outcome to be different than on paper lol

I've often wondered if the bendtech software was worth it, I guess I'll have to use it to see first hand. I've been doing all my bends and copes using my eyeballs and angle grinder

Does he have all the hiems already? I have 4 big ass Ballistic Fab forged rod ends I need to get rid of. These ones. Forged Ballistic Rod End

2 with left hand thread, 2 with right hand, 4 bungs, and 2 brackets. Never used.. just wrapped in plastic. I'll make him a deal.

How much for the 4? I may be able to put them to use soon on a new to me Taco.

I've made some decent progress over the past few days, with some help from @Boomtacoma01 yesterday.

It's been a wee bit warm here, so welding in the shop is always fun, especially when I have to close the doors. Darn shield gas needs a nice still environment.

With Chris's help we started to finalize the link mounts. Chris chose a single triangulated setup. With pushing the lower link mounts out to the outside of the axle we gained triangulation of the lowers as well. We'll see how she does when we get her rolling.

Notice that the truss is rotated a bit forward from the diff cover. I had the truss laid against the diff to begin with, but chose to rotate it forward to where it's horizontal at ride height.

I had to adjust my plans for the coilover mounts, but with a bit of head scratching Chris and I got it sorted out. There should be plenty of clearance for the springs and protection from the tires.

And here's how she sits as of now. We're getting closer.

How do you like that esab Rebel? I Probably have 100lbs of wire through mine so far. Welds really smooth. My only gripe is that the presets seem to weld cold. I always have it turned up 1 material thickness higher than what I'm welding on.

She works pretty well for me, though I don't use the presets. I just adjust wire and voltage as necessary and go for it.
