Believe it or not - YES! And are very particular on how you do it! You have to switch over everything - even an idiot light! I have heard people failing due to switching the exhaust back to the driver's side. Best way to do a swap is to buy a salvaged truck and take everything. I've heard a couple of guys have swapped the dash too. I don't want to go overboard but it would be sweet to have a nice 'new' counter-balanced motor.

So is this because you plan to run it on the street? Does that apply to trail only rigs? Is there a point in time when the smog stuff goes away? Past 30 years or something?

Street issue - if I wanted to Green Sticker (off road only) I could do most anything. The real problem is there are many trails that, unless you want to run backwards, you'd have to have a trailer at both ends!

Talk about effed up stuff. I have been using Zoom's Accord to go back and forth to Chinatown. She screams the other day 'cause there was a dead mouse/rat next to the Accord a couple of days later. She's worried where it came from. We have no rats or mice at all - I would know about them - we have enough food storage in the garage for a nuclear Holocaust. I told her that it must be a neighbor's cat bringing us a present!
Then I opened the trunk of the car. There was a whittled cliff bar wrapper in the 'parts bin' - oops, I meant trunk.
The only time that thing is open for any extended time is in Chinatown and believe me, if you ever went there, you'd know why!
Now I am expecting a rat to scurry across the dash while driving!!! :eek:
