2002 Taco

I may have a chance to pickup an '02 4cylinder 4x4. It's a single cab, with around 230,000 miles on it. The guy is selling it for $5K, not sure if it's a good deal or not.

What do you think?

He used it as a daily driver, and used it on his deer lease.

He just bought a 2010 Taco.

What are your plans for it? It does have high miles but if its just a trail rig thats not a big issue.

Keep going with your current 04 build & daily drive the 02. The 02 will get better MPG's & you won't have to start over on a stock truck.

Yeah, I also had that thought. I already have some body damage on the '04. I guess I could always get another engine to swap with the high milage one.

So, $5000 not a bad deal then? It has brand new AT tires on it. Just worried that if I ever need to haul the trail rig, the 4 cylinder wouldn't be able to do the job. For $5K, I could always have 2 trail rigs. Add another $10-15k to the mix, and both could be very offroad capable.
