85 4runner Build

[Taco76087]

This is a father/son project, that needed a little more work, than what it looked like, more to come, as we get to it

Before we got it home off ebay

We gutted the interior and started finding the rust

After we did some repair

Rust under the top

Got a Trail Gear Bumper off Craigslist

Progress

Before we really dug into the bondo and bodywork

Hedman header we picked up for $50

Got some Monstaliner

Painted the interior pieces, and the seats are being done (95 4runner seats)

After some bodywork, still in progress

Got new Outlaw II lookalikes and 35'' Bf Goodrich KM2

After new leaf pack and trail gear shackles

Front lift coming next, finishing the bodywork, and painting

Idk yet, not too worried about it right now won't be wheeling it till the fall, have alot of other things going on right now, and don't have time to work on the truck.

On a side note we did pickup hi steer and an extra front axle. IFS box, u bolt flip kits, and an 88 4runner that needs a new frame. But it looks like the motor runs good, got it for $250

It was not a mess - it was awsome. It inspired me to go get my own, . Megan said I could at the gas station in Paradise. Funny thing she said it though, because less than two weeks later we had one, .

Great build! I personally wouldn't wheel it too much without the fenders - seen a couple of 1st gens with the same rip about 18-20 inches from the front that started right after the fenders were removed. You've done some great work!
