Ok I need a show of hands.

I have a friend of mine thats local and he is looking to become a Amsoil dealer, he is looking at a 5-10% markup and having stuff dropped shipped directly to you house. Once he gets a feel for the supply and demand he will start keeping stuff in stock at his house. I told him I would see how many of you guys would be interested in these products. He will be able to get anything they offer on the Amsoil website, oil, filters, grease etc. I will be meeting with him soon to get a price list for what oil etc would be running us.

Yeah I told him if people show Intrest we could set him up on here as a vender. He is timing like maybe he can beat what I'm paying for RP, and I know Amsoil is some good stuff. Need to check and see if the offer filters for our trucks too.

I'd have to see some prices, but I'd be interested. Mobile 1 is just so damn expensive these days and I hear good things about Amsoil.

yup. I was just reading a guys Blackstone results on TW that is running it and I have been thinking about doing the swap. I have 64k in less then 3 years...so even with changing it 5/6k in the summer and 4-5k in the winter it's getting real old.

My old boss was a Amsoil dealer, used it in his jeeps and drag cars. This friend of mine uses it in his circle track car.

Will pay to see Cmack get tased
I switched to Amsoil last year and my Blackstone report came back stellar with room for longer drains (5k at present). I became a "dealer", but it is still more expensive than Mobil 1, especially after shipping charges. The convenience of a complete product line is awesome.

I just wonder if it cheaper then Royal Purple @ $60 ($120 if you leave to oil plug out and dump the first 5 on the ground) a oil change minus the RP filter

That's a rather expensive oil change!

That was an engine flush treatment

I think I pay around $30 a gallon for the Signature Series synthetic plus shipping.

I've been using RP for the last few changes. I'm switching to Quaker State though, solely for their promotion. If your truck is less than 72 months old, and has less than 75k miles, you can switch to QS and they will warrant it up to 300k miles. Then once you make it, they will give you "KBB value" (read the fine print).

More details on their site

Yeah but the KB value at 300k on your truck isn't going to be that much...if you make it to that.

Or ever. What gas engine these days lasts to 300K?

Exactly. I was talking to my stepdad (who's an old diesel mechanic) and he said, "well even bad publicity is good publicity because it got you thinking about it". He also said he'd be surprised if our trucks were on KBB at 300k lol
