Another TKGN build

Picked up a '93 off of CL, finally brought it home yesterday.
Gonna wheel this for a while and see where it goes.
It has been well used for an offroad truck over the past couple years and already has some goods (some not so goods) on it but will need a little work to get it back to 100%.
Its a 22RE 5spd, has dual cases, '85 straight axle, 35 X 12.5 BFGs, 8000# warn winch, hydro steering(works OK but needs a little improving), bobbed bed (might put a flat bed on it in the future), Allpoo springs, Rancho shocks, sliders, bumpers, purple window tint (gotta take that off) and some other stuff.
Putting 5.29s in already, front wheel bearing sounds a little bad so fixing that, gotta fix a leaky water neck, a slightly bent front drive shaft, and a door handle. Other than that it should be ready to wheel. I really think I'm gonna leave it like it is, fix what "needs" to be fixed and wheel the crap out of it.

The lighting is off in the pics, makes the truck look like it has a bunch of dents...

First I hated you for the SC now I hate you for this. Looks good man. You gonna make it to HF?

Thaks guys, I plan on going to HF if I get everything put back together. Shouldnt be an issue, mainly just get the front diff out and new gears in. He gave me a spare diff along with 2 new sets of 5.29 gears.

Drew, thanks, if I can't get the DS straitened thats on it I'll probably just build a square shaft.

I do have a question if someone can help. How do you pull the axles on the front diff (its an 85 staight axle)? I started on it last night but din't get very far.
I'm sure I'll get it figured out but having a little info from somebody that has done it before would definately help.

Building a square DS is a piece of cake.. just be sure to use receiver tubing as the larger and not regular 2.5" OD square tube. This way its nice and quiet.

As for pulling the axles, its a PITA! Seriously. Let me see if I can find the directions I used. But if you are pulling them then I would suggest buying a rebuilt kit and installing Longfields (if it doesn't already have them) because its such a pita!

Thanks Sean, I beleive he said it already has upgraded shafts in there, I'll check when I open it up.
I'll check those links out and see if I can get some knowledge.
Thanks again

Very cool, I was really hoping someone around here would buy that thing. Was really hard for me not to go pick that thing up.

Congrats on the Longs!!!

If you don't mind waiting another day or two, the (Trail Gear) double wiper seals and inner seals (TG or Marlin Crawler) would be worth there weight in Mobil 1 Synthetic
Plan on ordering those Monday morning and hopefully can get the kit in time to install before next weekend. You wouldn't be interested in swinging by there and throwing it in a flat rate USPS box would ya?

He wouldn't budge on the price, 3500.00. Thought it was a fair price, he was happy, I was happy. Figured it had 3500 in upgrades anyhow.

It was local for me, kinda made it hard not to go look at it. Then when I did I was hooked. Hell I probably would have spent that much on the Tacoma just doing a SAS swap! Figured I can have fun with it and later down the road if I needed to get rid of it I "should" be able to get my money back out of it.
