Well I'm not an Optima fan. I just had my 3rd Red Top Optima die. It was less than 3 years old. The first two died many years ago in a vehicle I owned. This recent death was the battery that was in my old 4Runner. It came with the truck but the manufacture date was December 2008. So it was a little more than 2 years old. Optima's phone service sucks, nice people (once you get one on the phone) but they didn't do anything for me.
The Yellow Top's are supposedly a better unit, but I won't give Optima any of my money. If you can get an Odyssey or Diehard Platinum (its the same as an Odyssey, just branded for Sears) go that route. MUCH better battery and much better warranty. I have two Platinums in my Taco, one is a marine unit. The front one is equivalent to a Odyssey PC1750 and the rear is the same as a PC1500DT.
