Yeah, don't remind me. Here's a list of parts I had to replace

Bearings
Seals
ABS Sensors
Brake Rotors
Brake Pads
1 Tire (sidewall got gouged by the Spindle, covered by Discount tire)

yikes, that looks bad drew....

The first day I noticed the issue was on Monday (the 13th) and I haven't driven it since then. There isn't any lean in the tire when its flat on the ground, the only time it had play was when I jacked up my truck.

Fingers crossed I caught it in time, and I am SOOOO thankful that I wasn't on the trail or a long road trip. When I drop her off on Friday, and get the low down, hopefully I can pass along some more information.

Mine failed on the trail... brake pedal went to the floor in a steep uphill climb and I rolled back about 30' or more towards a ravine. I about pooped myself. At the time I thought it was a brake failure. Turned out to be both wheel bearings, although the driver side was much worse.

This is exactlly how I felt when I hit that tree.....except it was brake faliure. Faliure to hold the truck anyways.

That sounds like an epic fail on the trail, but glad everyone is ok and that you can joke about it now!

I went and parked it for a while as we did the steep hilly trails (I thought it was brakes) but when we went and hit some flat trails I drove it again. Now I know better. :)

Yeah, I drove mine for awhile when it happened to me again at Long Ranch. I was in denial.

It's ok, you made it back home in one piece :)

So got my truck back last night, and the best part..... IT was fully covered under warranty!

I was able to catch it in time so there was no associated damage, just the wheel bearing so that is good news. I was also able to get the Toyota part numbers off the service guy so in future I will be able to just go and get the parts myself and swap them out.

Now to get out on the trails, hopefully it hasn't snowed too bad in the foothills and mountains yet, and I have some more fun :D
