So I'm not sure how anyone else handles this issue but I never thought of it until I went to give a guy a jump I saw on the trails the other day at big bear, but I realized I could not put normal jumper cables on my battery terminals. So this is what I came up with.

Some quick connect winch plugs

One end wired straight to the battery and fused. It's nice having big terminals with empty slots.

And a plug on the other end. Not sure if this where I want to mount it or not yet, so I'm going to leave it lose for now.

Now I can splice a jumper cable with a plug and bam. I can now hookup to become a helping citizen again. Also works for a good place to attach other devices that need 12v right at the battery

In my mom's BMW and RV, the batteries are at the back or middle of the vehicles, but they all have a positive terminal in the front under the hood. Maybe you could add one there. I just couldn't justify the cost to run the cable for that reason.

I just got a cheap set of jumper cables for mine and cut the ends off one side to use for an extension for my little MV50 compressor. Your set up is a lot cleaner. Nice job!

Yea I kind of wanted real battery post somewhere. But I found those connects and thought it would work good. If doesn't work out I may have to look into get getting some real battery post and hard mounting them somewhere. Im not worried about having to back up to people to give jumps. I think it might be kinda cool and weird some people out w it.

Any way I think I found what is causing my CEL p0440.

Took off my evap line at the vsv and pumped air into it and heard this little guy leaking. So I'm going to slap some jb weld over it and then cover it with some rust bullet since that is supposted seal up small pin holes for some extra sealing.

Any way I think I found what is causing my CEL p0440.

Took off my evap line at the vsv and pumped air into it and heard this little guy leaking. So I'm going to slap some jb weld over it and then cover it with some rust bullet since that is supposted seal up small pin holes for some extra sealing.

That will do it! I was throwing that code in the Taco.. turns out my dumb ass drilled into the charcoal canister when installing my toolbox in the bed! Whoops. The hole was about the size of the tip of a sharp pencil.. I thought I just nicked the top of it. Nope.. threw some gastank sealant on it and it went away.

This thing is looking great though. Long ways from when you picked it up.

I actually kind of made that hole by accident. When ever I sand blasted that whole filler neck it was loaded with pin holes all down it. The rust bullet sealed most of it up. But I guess it didn't fill that larger one. I'm going to reassemble everything tonight and do another pressure test to see if I have any other holes. And hope this fixes my issue.

Also finished my jumper cable plug in. works pretty good too. Just need to do the same for my Tacoma now.

Did some flexing at work this afternoon and then hit some trails too. Also got a jump in and found out the rumors are true that Lt on 35s don't clear stock fenders anywhere.

I have fenders on order and they should of been here last Friday but still no show on them. I may need to just drive down to Huntington beach to pick them up.

And the rears bumped a little bit too

Well I was told they were done last Wednesday. I guess that what I get for going with glassworks fenders. Just they are the only one who makes the third gen fenders.

IIRC some guys use 1st gen taco fenders or am I drunk?

Well nothing big to update other than I got fucked out of $350 by glassworks, so fuck them and I hope no one on here ever tries to order anything from thing.

Still trying to run down my evap leak, but I think I got it really found now being that I have a charcoal diapham leaking. So I'm going to locate a different one and seeif that does it.

But any way some good things. Made use of ruffstuffs labor day sale and got some heims and then some tube from the local metal store. Hope this will free some bind and give me some extra travel in the rear.
