Installing my Camburgs today.

I have 5100s on the front and they are currently set on 1.78? 3rd ring clip

What should my shocks be set to avoid any serious positive camber?

Thanks for you help.

The beauty of after market UCAs is that you can adjust your shocks to whatever and still get a good alignment. I always recommend doing 1.75 instead of 2.5, then butting on a short top plate spacer.

You are installing the longer lift spindles correct? Not sure what they recomend for shocks and didn't see anything on their web site. Might have to give Camburg a call.

Oh yeah, you will have wicked positive camber when you first put them on. You will need an alignment.

Got your pm just as I was heading for work...

Yeah wicked isn't the word. Let's just say, insane.

Going to change the settings my shocks to stock and go from there...

But will keep you posted.

Thanks for you help.

The camber your truck now has reminds me of a 5 year old tip-toeing on the tips of their toes to try to be as tall as possible.

I would've put it in the ballerina category.

Dropped my 5100s to 0 and dramatic change in the camber. Still positive but not wicked and not close to insane. Now to find someone that can align this properly.

Any suggestions?

Tires this week. Most definitely a labor of love. But something nice about doing it yourself instead of paying someone to do it for me...

Well I went with the Firestone lifetime alignment, best $150 I spent. Some people have had issues with them getting it perfect, but I haven't.

I only have the 3 year (I think) and I have had a couple of issues - the first couple issues I had were a certain UCA from a certain supplier that would not let me get the alignment in spec. I tried a couple of different shops/outlets and they could never get it right! I later switched to Camburgs they were able to dial it in - with the exception of them telling me they couldn't get the alignment cam loosened - I ordered a new cam assembly and THEY WERE TRYING TO LOOSEN THE ECCENTRIC!!! I undid the other side and it opened with ease... so with the exception of the incompetence of a couple of people there and the issue of quality of parts on my truck, I have been very happy too!

wow, I start to worry when you explain to the tech what you have done to your truck and they have this blank stare...

I had my aligned this morning and I told the guy who looked like he would have a clue, that I just put "LIFT SPINDLES" on and was running a positive camber and he looked like, WTF!?!

He go it dialed in perfect, but sometimes I feel like I am talking to my teenage son to some folks...

Now for the tires.

And I am getting that same look...?

Tri asking about spidertrax? Bewildered, blank stares

Would be nice to know how to adjust just the camber then I could have played around a bit with my shock settings before taking it in...
