Well I'm still torn. i need to find some time and go freaking time to measure them up to see what the high difference would be. One of my ranger-driving buddies told me that because of where mine is located (next to the cab), it'd be a good idea to get as much as possible above the cab in order to get the best range/reception. Makes sense to me whether he's right or wrong :D

I'm wondering how much extra height the spring will add...I'm thinking I may go local and buy this shit. There's a shop nearby that actually specializes in CBs, I think.

Thanks Boyd. Will add that into my measurements...might have a little bit of time to measure after class. Would do it now but need to write a paper before I go to that class :D

WONDERFUL! There is a radioshack right next to my house :D

Never got around to measuring. Right after class I had to run out to meet up with some people...This weekend I'll for sure check. I'd love to eventually move the CB location to the rear of the truck for better range and whatnot, but it'll wait. I"m thinking Foldover + spring + either 3 or 4' antenna and I'll be golden!

the 3 or 4' will just depend on the measurements and how much it clears the cab, I think.
