As long as they were on the same page, you could just hit the reply button on each post you wanted to quote and it had the same effect.

I kind of miss the auto-load notifications, but I'm cool with it the way it is now.

Click the Unread to turn off the unread only filter. It will show you all the latest posts and your subscribed.
