Here's what I ended up trimming, the drivers side shock mount closest to the wheel,

I didn't want to take off too much so it took a couple trim fit, trim fit ect.

I sprayed it black when I was done

Still mighty close, what do you guys think? The passengers side is about at close as this but I didn't have to trim or anything over there. Just driving around town highway, city, back roads I have no contact but I'm wondering if I should trim more before I go bombing down logging trails ect.

Looks like you need a plasma cutter

Plasma cutters are bad ass! I've used one a couple times. I think it be a little over kill for trimming this small amount .

Ok I gave them some more room, I feel more comfortable about it. Still didn't have any contact, but this should be good just in case.

Been putting a good amount of miles on the truck since install, I'm becoming more concerened of its offroad manners considering this wild ass clunk just going over speed bumps! It feels like it smacks the whole truck! I'm going off-roading this weekend to check it out, but I got to be honest, if it does that over every little rock these shocks are going to be for sale.
Just won't fit my needs, this truck sees trails every weekend!

It's just the front shocks I'm having issues with.

OME are made for trails. If there is a clunk then go back and check all the bolts. Something might be lose.

I did, I actually pulled the front struts back out today and put them back in! I can deal with the speed bumps clunk, they don't do it over regular bumps in the road, just speed bumps. And they drive great other wise. I just can't wait to hit some trails this weekend to see what's up

I had the same symptoms on my truck when I bought it and couldn't figure it out. When I swapped it out for my OME kit I noticed my lower shock bushings were completely gone. I'm sure that's not your issue since everything is new. But make sure you check every bushing and bolt on the front end.

I will, so you don't have any clunk? I just had my torque wrench calibrated in late September. I have prodemand, and alldata. I torqued every bolt I touched, then again when I pulled them out and reinstalled them.

Well it could be just the suspension unloading over the speed bumps. My Fox do that sometimes as well... so did my OME but it wasn't bad and very tolerable. On the trail you should be going slow enough and shouldn't notice it. What springs did you get? 885/886?

I got 885. That's exactly what it is "suspension unloading over bump"! And I think I only get it on speed bumps because both sides are doing it at the same time and it sort of magnifies it. I get it even when I'm going like 7mph. Like I said over regular bumps and stuff I the road it doesn't do it at all. That's why I'm hoping it's not as bad offroad.

Are the top 3 nuts on the coilover tight enough? Can you grab the shock with your hand and jiggle it?

Doublecheck all nuts & bolts (which you need to do anyway after x amount of miles)

Can't move them at all. Didn't even unbolt the top hats. I've gone over everything. It's like the shock isn't long enough. It's just a problem over speed bumps. :/ we'll see how it is this weekend

You need to compress your tires and see where your tire is hitting the fender. It sounds like it's hitting something

I think it's downstroke noise. Unloading

Yeah silver back has it. There's a metal stop inside the shock that limits down travel so it doesn't over extend. I just watched a video a guy cut an ome shock apart and explained it. When I crest a speed bump the springs push the shock back down and the metal stop is what's hitting.
Again like I said, it's something I can live with if it just a speed bump thing(which it has been so far) on account of them both extending together. Everything else is awesome, I like the way they ride, I love the way it looks. Can't wait to get it on a trail, I'm hoping for the best!

Took it offroad today, she did great. No clanks. It's just on speed bumps, can defenitly live with that. Flexed it a bit. No issues with the travel
