So I finally got around to cleaning up the wiring and battery post issues. I started off by taking care of the issues I had with the battery, being its a Red Top with the posts located up front not the rear. When I dropped it in the OE wiring was to short, so I stretched it as far as it go. In order for the OE length to reach I had to lose the Red Tops height block. This turned out to make the OE hold down all thread to tall. I used a socket for a spacer (Ghetto fab) I know
. This stayed like this for two years and I don't know how the battery remained on the tray?
Well, I thought I would just go ahead and replace just about everything. I purchased a bunch of new 1/0, a distribution block, ring terminals, and various other supplies to begin. Anyway, everything turned out pretty good for the first phase of the cleanup. I added the distribution block to accommodate the feed for the amp, and the compressor. This first go were the battery terminals, distribution block, and upgrading the chassis ground. I still need to cut down the new all thread and braid some of the smaller wiring. One note just by sizing up the ground it brought my idle volts from around 13.6v to 14.1v, so I will be replacing the other big 2 later.
Now for a couple O` pics of whats done so far.
