Number one Drew. I just bought this vehicle in February.

I have done mods to several cars in the past this is my first attempt at building an off road vehicle and in case you didn't notice I asked for suggestions. So I can get a starting point.

I work at an auto dealership as a salesman and can get parts for cheap. We also have a customs shop attached and if I chose to I could have everything under the sun put in my vehicle but that is not what I am after. I want to do the work myself.

Welcome Clutch! Had the same thing happen to me when I started my build thread but now I have one. It's nothing personal I assure you, its to keep people from posting a build thread with the most exciting modifications being stickers lol.

Lol well I do have a few plans.

First off is a hidden lightbar. Since I do a lot of driving I don't want the light bar on the roof I intend to place the light bar inside the vehicle. Also I intend on removing all the chrome. And building an new front bumper with an integrated winch.

Yup on the top ahead of the rearview mirror. I'm thinking a 30" or larger curved light bar. I checked with a guy on another forum who makes custom mounts if they were possible. Haven't heard back. If nothing else I'll build my own.

Also I would like to build or find a spare tire carrier like the old school Jeeps. With a Jerry Can holder. I intend on using this vehicle for camping and mud running.

Welcome.

Thats a really bad idea.. the glare will be unbearable. Just mount it on top. Go out there with a very bright flashlight at night and shine it above your field of view from inside the cab. Imagine that being 100x brighter.

I plan on fabricating a light catch to prevent light bleed inside. I have seen it done with light pods.

Good point I hadn't thought about that.
That might make me change the type and brand of light bar that I use.

Welcome to TOR! Drew must be grouchy today. lol

Well if your dead set on mounting the light bar inside, it'll be cheaper bc you won't need a waterproof one. But you will def need a light catch.

And look around for front bumpers. You might find one on CL for a helluva deal

Thanks Anthollo. I actually found a mechanics lightbar for a decent price which is water resistant and low heat.
