I hear you! That's one more reason we need that gated community with the communal toys and trailers!!! :) Then once you get the trailer you'll want the tow vehicle! :D

One of my problems is that a lot of people drop out of this crack addition after they realize how much money gets poured in. Or other guys that have 'upgraded' to tow only rigs that want to do Hammers or the equivalent and don't mind a flop or two. I do enjoy wheeling my black school bus but many just drop out!

It's a slippery slope once you get a trail only rig. It takes a huge weight off your shoulders to wheel a rig you don't have to drive home. But even so I don't want to try and flop my rig just because. I guess I'm not at that level of "don't give a shit it's only money" yet. I was out with Clyde and was sorta stuck trying to turn around and I asked what I was hitting... My buddy says " oh yeah you are backing into this tree"! Thanks man, maybe a little headsup next time! :)

Yeah, for some reason they replaced their suspension page with an endorsement for All Pro

Looks like you're gonna have to go linked now, huh?

No way! I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Yes, that puts links a bit higher on the scale.

Yeah, I was thinking if he is selling springs they may be AP.

Speaking of AP... I hope it doesn't make me a douche bag. I was going to sell them through someone else on TW. Then I saw a guy that is being deployed and he was telling me that he was getting spindles and wanted to get some 3" springs - the ones I have sitting in my side yard. So I tend to have a soft spot for guys that are willing to put their ass on the line for all of us pussies that sit at home and play video games. So when he told me that he hopes to get them before he's deployed, I told him I'd give him the deployment special and gave them to him. In one way it's like letting a friend ride a moped! I need to tell him that the 3 inches they speak of were measured with the same rule I measured my 12 incher with! Well, I think I did the right thing.

I shit you not

I too am dumbfounded. Since cooping with Inchworm and now this, it's almost like they're planning on closing the business soon.

Or maybe Jon and Marlin merge?

Yeah, I truly don't understand the smash the shit mode? I would like one like that 'runner I posted up on my last trip to the seirras - reminds me of that scorpion thing. To have something who's body is 2" DOM and aluminum panels would be sweet. - If you did back in to a tree, it would be less painful!!!

I guess this is the big kids way to play army! :)

Well thats very cool! I know the measurement scale you speak of. My wife thinks a dollar bill is so handy to measure things that are 12" long. LOL

man I hope not.... one company who builds quality products and one who doesn't. Lets just hope Marlins quality stays with his products.

Yeah, I don't mind body damage on Clyde, but I don't go out of my way to find it. I've got good size dents that I have NO idea of how I got them.. and I was sober at the time! LOL

IDK, I have a plan to cover my crack addiction on the cheap, since that is the only means I have to support it in the first place. My "trail rig" is really a low dollar piece of shit (as if you couldn't tell) but I am just glad to have it. I have less than 2k in the whole thing including the purchase price. I want to build it into something that is much more, but honestly am proud of it as is and truth be told I do not need the best, coolest or most capable rig on the trail, I just need to get out there and have a little fun. My "tow rig" is a Tacoma, it is no 3/4 ton diesel, but it tows my 4runner just fine. My point is that while wheeling can be an expensive hobby, it doesn't HAVE to be. Just like everything else in life, it is what you make it and at some point discipline and other priorities are more important.

I'm with you! I guess I'm just whining cause I don't have room for more crap and the taco still provides lots of fun (and shame! :)).

I have that on my Taco and it's embarrassing like what must have been a tree hit to the C pillar!

Funny, the AP springs are the only AP product that I'd buy again....

... for 50 bucks and 3 cases of Coors Light from MJP2 :D

If I spent retail, it would be something else...

You guys do know the deal with all those springs right? They are all the exact same spring, from all pro, to marlin, to trailgear. They are all made my betts spring company to the exact same specs and all made in china then shipped to the US and labled with the retailers sticker and SKU#. IMO it's no great loss unless marlin goes under and they no longer make the T-case stuff.

I know the whole story. I'd just rather give my money to Marlin.

Agree. I guess TG is second best

And I know a number of folks that used to praise AP and a good amount of their money now goes to TG!

... and my understanding is that some of TG's stuff comes from China too...
