My new phone is 5g, and it's always showing full 5g service and there are zero towers around here (Sprint/T-mobile)

Soooo if any of you decide to cut all the cords do yourself a favor and don't do what I did (forget about your subscription services).
My bluebeam expired...yea that download will take 5-1/2hrs via my tethered phone. I can still open docs but can;t edit or modify them and thats all I use it for so now it's just a PDF viewer
Also my CAD is 100% web based so thats useless - I haven't even tried to use it - there is no way LTE could handle that. That program sucks so much computing power it's the only reason I still have a nicer tower on my PC set up.
Good news is that all these little instances can be learned from so when I get some land Ive already figured this crap out.
I know a guy with a burnt non-subscription old version of bootlegged CAD Ill need to see if I can get my hands on and maybe tonight before I go to bed Ill start the download for the updated trial version of bluebeam ~ I'm not paying over $300 for the commercial version.

Oh yea also been trying the free 7 day trial of youtube tv. No way Ill be keeping it. It's basically cable TV with all the crappy commercials that I never watch.
if I wait until my 90 days is up I could have cable TV & interwebz for that price or $40 for interwebz only.
Next rainy day I also need to look into the chormecast type stuff so maybe I can stream to my dumb tv's.

X2. Im on WiFi the majority of the time anyway. Got rid of my fancy $1000 smartphone and $100 a month bill that I didn't use 95% of the features on and got a cheaper, not-as-smart phone and still don't use most of what it can do. Id go back to a flip phone if it wasn't for working nights and wanting to play some bullshit games on my phone to make the time pass faster.

Chromecast is the sh*t. No idea why I never looked into them earlier. I have a 32" Sony dumb tv thats not been used in a decade in my master bedroom aka garage so I put it on there for some background noise. Took a few hrs to download all the apps via LTE but once up and running I'm pretty impressed. Ive now got ESPN+/Pandora/Youtube/Youetube music/Prime all on it. Now it's not nearly as fast as cable, but a good runner up for the cord cutters. Takes about 1-2 minutes of streaming before it stops pixelating and becomes perfectly clear. I was so impressed I unboxed my old Klipsch speakers and set them up last night. Less work was done last night for sure
and I think today is a month w/no cords so the toughest part is done. Now to enjoy the extra $200 in my bank account or should I say $180 now that I bought a chromecast or $168 now that I pay for youtube

Canceled my service on the 10th (day my billing cycle ends).... and am told I'm good to go.
That bill was paid early on the 4th as I always do.
Today they send me a bill for next month and tell me my account is not up to date

They have shut down all the options for my account so I can't remove my credit card info or dispute it online... Ill see if I can stop payments through my CC or worst case spend 30min on the phone w/commiecast fixing this BS. Prob best to just call the commies - last thing I need is my stellar credit getting a ding for the first time cause they suck at billing properly.
25 more days until I can be considered for "new customer" offers.
I wish I had screenshot their ads for reference but every time I log into my commiecast e-mail it seems like the price drops

Music related to cutting the physical cord.....
compiled all my Sirius radio gear for the first time in prob a decade.
Had 3 interior house antennas, 1 exterior house antenna, and 3 car antennas....+ 2 FM transmitter antennas.... and thats all gone now except for one of each.
plugged the little guy in and amazingly it still works, even still remembers songs/artists I had flagged at least 8 years ago. took about a minute to "update stations" then started playing. about 20 seconds later it shot me a little "member info updated" message.
Nice to know this little guy can still give me music/news/sports anywhere in the US/Canada.
now the search for the remote is on
btw the paint finish tarnished or something. All the grey has become super sticky so when I was cleaning it all the fibers from the paper towels stuck to it. it's sticky like silicone....real weird. never seen paint on electronics do that before. maybe the clear coats failing

Ive been killing my phone because it's my only means of communication or signal so it's nice to have a totally different alternative.
I do need to download their app onto my phone/pc/tablets.
Tell you one thing I think Pandora's days are limited w/me. Prob go cancel it tonight so when the years up they don't auto renew. Tired of paying for it when Ive got so many alternatives. Amazon/Youtube/Sirius....getting a little silly especially since I listen to local sports talk radio from 7am-6pm on weekdays. Here I have this paid up for the rest of my life yet always forget about it and never listen to it. Thats just dummmm
