It's not just the hydraulics this time

I was doing about 75mph and everything was running GREAT. Then all of a sudden this noise started like a jet was getting closer and closer. About the the time it sounded like it was going to land on top of me, a few seconds later, I realized it was me. Unfortunately, it was too late. The sounds suddenly stopped and I lost all power to the wheels. I pulled of into the ditch on the side of the road and some smoke came into the cab through the shifter boot. Tranny was pretty warm, but not ridiculous. And the T-case was barely warm at all.

Hold the phone Ethel; was driving to Buda on the lonest road test to date, and my transmission stopped working. Pretty sure it's the clutch, but won't know till I get this lamed beast towed home and taken apart.

Indeed. At least It happened today and not on a wheeling excursion and I know a few people who own trailers. I should have it back in the driveway in a couple hours.

Yup you should definitely bring a trailer to longs

Okay, dropped the tranny and T-case, and the problem ain't the clutch. I didn't separate them, but I'm pretty sure I need a new R150 stat

Yes. It's definitely not connected right

sure, if it ain't fixed before Sat, I'm down. Need to call PnP to see what they'd charge for a transmission.

Yeah, the odometer on my car says 250K mi and the transmission is the only remaining component in the drivetrain that has probably seen every inch of that

Aren't there some better trans options you could put in there other than the r150?

sure, the r151 would be great... and more expensive. The r150 is easy to find for $200 or less. Though, I'm having trouble finding one in town at the moment.
