Our name would have been "ToyotaOffroad.com" but someone already owns it. I'm cool with leaving it Tacoma Offroad, since that's kinda what we all still have in common. But, if someone thinks of a better name and the domain is available, let me know.

Fuck it man, leave it alone, Tacoma is the common ground that got us all together in the first place, and most of us will still be using our tacomas to haul our trail rigs to meets anyway.

Would anyone happen to know if my stock rear shocks from my taco would work on the front of this truck? They are just sitting here in my office collecting dust, I think I will take them home a try it out, might need to put in a BJ spacer first.

Nope, won't work. If they did then I would have put that set of rear billies on mine already.

I think so, fully compressed they look the same size, I'm about to double check right now

If they are the same length full compressed then there shouldn't be a problem as long as you can hit the upper bump stops and get full droop (may have to strap it if it's too long so you don't bind balljoints/CV joints)

They are about a mile too long. Your suspension would not compress, practicaly be stuck at full droop.

Move the shock mounts? Dosn't seem like it would be too hard to fab up a new shock tower.

If you're going to go to all that trouble, you might as well switch to coilovers while you're at it.

No seriously get a ford shock tower (like 15-20 bucks at the dealer) cut off old shock mount measure for new one cut down ford tower and weld on, dosn't seem too hard to me for the gains cheapness. Coilovers would be some serious refab, new everything control arms brackets everything.

Dude, all you need for coilovers is an eye to mount them on. Wouldn't have to mess with the control arms at all.

Yes you would because it was originally a torsion sprung suspension with the bars keyed into the LCAs, not to mention the fact that the prolly aren't strong enough to support the entire weight of the vehicle as that loads was previously handled by the torsion bar and A new UCA would be needed to clear the CO.
