Tonight I cleaned up the cab a little by taking out the bench seat and ripping out the nasty carpet that had some monster tics living in it (I think a couple of the small ones got me). The back bolts were a little rusted and one of them will have to be drilled out, but at least I got everything pulled out.

Put the pipe wrench on this seat bolt, but it wouldn't budge. The metal just twisted off. Guess I'll be drilling it out.

There's a couple rust holes on the driver side, but the passenger side looks fine.

are you going to just redo the sheet metal on the driver side or get a new donor piece from a salvage truck and weld it in?

Dont patch those holes.. just cut them out clean and then put some plexi-glass over them.. presto spotting window!

I got the idea from that old guy at Cline Ranch, the dude with the old blue Yota pickup, can't recall his name. But we talked about it. He had cut holes there for clearance and mentioned that he liked the visibility and was going to put plexi over the holes.

Oh yeah. Is it hooked up? Because when I pushed the buttons it didn't do anything.

Yeah, I'm gonna try to hook that PA up to the CB instead. That way I can talk trash at stop lights.

I cut the power wire, I think it's the red one comming out of the firewall above the steering linkage.
