HAM Radio Acticle

I'm looking for which radio I'm going to mount in the GX. It has to be something with a detachable faceplate. Other than that, I don't know what I need/don't need. More research to do and more things to learn.

They are spendy last time I looked. If you find a good one for a good price let me know.

I picked up one of these little external antennas for the handy radio to put on one of the rigs at the back of the group. I have a larger magnetic mount antenna that I will run on my rig to help improve rx/ tx while out and about.

I have had my eye on a Yaesu FTM-100DR. The Fusion digital stuff and APRS looks neat. I'm planning to mount the head unit of whatever I get in the headliner in a piece of aluminium
