I'll be leaving northwest Houston around 3-4. One of the Houston expo guys said he was heading out early morning Friday. Another guy was leaving like 5-6.

I have been quiet about it since nothing is set in stone yet, but I will say that I am no longer 100% sure I can make this trip. I know....I know....fml.

if anything we'll meet other folks with similar interests and we can plan these types of events without the "corporate sponsorship" overhead.

Sam order up your 2M setup and get it installed. If you buy the same one I have you can modify it to work on MURS (no license required).

I am probably a Month away from ordering.. but I will get he same one you did.

Sam, are you still planning to head this way on Friday? What time are you thinking? I still have the damn rollbar... show up early enough and we'll make it fit in your 4Runner.

Gotta wait for Ethan to get home from School, he is going to be my CoPilot.. probably won't leave till 5pm. It would be easiest if I pick up the bar NOT on the way.. maybe on the way back, I think I have to drive through Austin on the way back from where they are ending the trip.. isn't that right?

it wasnt bad, i think im gonna go to beach sunday down in galveston and do a little sand run since ill be in the area this weekend.

Also anyone out there think they drill and tap this at 90* to original before this trip?

It's for my netbook mount and the way I got it mounted it needs to be offset from the original so I can still get the screw in it.

Also while I'm thinking about it, some of the expo guys at the meet and greet were talking about camping out at marble falls on Sunday night for those who have Monday off for prez day. I most likely will not be wheeling at marble falls as were taking the mtn bikes and plan on riding the bikes around the mtn bike trails Sunday afternoon and Monday before we head back to Houston. So if anyone wants to join for that feel free to join in on that.

I do but i can't even get work shit made at my shop. We do production orders only at my shop and all I do is prototype stuff so that all has to go across the street to our prototype shop. Kinda stupid, but hey i just work here. And our test lab doesn't have a drill press.
