It ain't the frame that flexes and breaks tail lights. It's the shite stock bumper.

The frame flexes bad on the 2nd gens. If I flex and open my access cab door, I can't close it back. The frame in the rear flexes when you lift it with the hilift from right behind the rear tire so bad that the wrap around sides on the ATO will touch the bedside.


I was just pointing it out incase he wants to sell them, that way someone doesn't come bitching.

Yeah, I have seen a few guys lose their tail light covers..

Isn't your rear bumper an All Pro? I think that has more to do with it moving that the frame.

I won't deny that the frame bends. It's just now what causes the bumper to move up into the tail lights.

Hell no, I'm running the ATO high clearance, and the frame flexes like hell in the rear.....not the bumper.

The gap is as much as, if not more than stock. I wheeled the bumper once or twice but had no problems. If it is too close, its nothing a grinder can't fix in a few minutes.

I'll be working the bumper design next week, hopefully I'll have a prototype put together by the end of the week. I'll be sure to post some pics as it comes along.

I picked it up yesterday and already drew up all the parts on CAD. Hopefully I'll get them made up and the first prototype mounted by the middle of the week.

Looks like we are going to be fabbing it up this weekend. I spoke with my welder and once I get one made up he can easily duplicate the hell out of the thing with the parts I supply. I'll post pics as soon as its together. I'll probably put a batch together that will be produced about 2 weeks after completion of this prototype.
