Nope, bad idea IMO. CV are cheap enough & easy enough to replace. If you buy indsetructable CV's then you will just break something furtur down the line. I would rather replace CV's than 3rd members.

Thats what the IFS guys were running at KOH just with a high pinion third member. That and the GM/AAM 9.25 are just about as bullet proof as IFS gets.

I was jinxed, and broke my cv today. For replacement, do I need the half shaft? It broke at the wheel. I jerked the shaft out and drove home.

So you broke your first CV huh, oh well shit happens. You will need a whole new halfshaft, get one from your favorite auto parts store and get one with a warranty. This is how you swap them
