Well the point was too replicate the closest "similar" results possible at 100, 200, & 300yards. I bet its within 10°F a lot of the time which is pretty damn good for that distance. And you have to realize he's not spending any $ on getting the same environment. The environment is whatever the temperature is inside the warehouse.
The part at the end where he "arcs" the bullet, I think Virgil is just fucking with the author. Virgil sounds like a smart good ol' boy if you get what I mean.

I need some suggestions for a decent sub $200, scope. It's going on my varmetster AR (223 with 24" barrel). My current needs to go in for repairs and I think I want something different, with illuminated reticle.
IMHO illuminated reticles are kindof a gimmick

I just picked up a Primary Arms 2.5x CQB scope with illuminated reticle for my Dad's LR308. it was about 230 shipped to me. Seems built well and gets really good reviews.

I have that same scope on my Remmingtom M700 300WSM. Love it. I think I paid 209 for it and got a Burris spotting scope thrown in for free.

That is nice.. I was looking at Vortex scopes and they are swanky! If I had a .338 or something with long legs I might consider it. I just need something that can handle the massive recoil of a .223
and won't break the bank.

I shot through my buddy's vortex and the scope is badass. Awesome clarity and reticle.

37 days later.. got that upper. Radical firearms. .seems like a quality product, especially for the price. They also make polymer pop up sights, so got two sets, nice and beefy. Still got a few parts in the mail to complete the lower. 16" ar for comparison
