Oh and I made one step further in creation of the Un-Ruger 10/22 take-down. Ordered a Tac Sol black bull barrel for it. Was looking at the Volquartsen one with the optic mount and wrapped in carbon fiber. Very nice but very $$ and I didn't need the optic mount. So I saved $70 and went TacSol. Need to go to the LGS and order a stripped upper from Brownells for it and then it will be the Un-Ruger 10/22 take-down as zero parts are from Ruger.

Went to LGS today and bought some ammo (10mm, 5.56 and ..22LR) and 6 more 10/22 mags. Also talked to them about the stripped upper. Got home and ordered it. So once its here, the un-Ruger 10/22 will be a thing in my house. LOL

Got my Tac-Sol barrel for my 10/22 Take-Down. Man this thing is LIGHT! It weighs 16 ounces, factory bull-barrel weighs 2.58 lbs. Have not shot it yet but man what a difference in the weight. Just awaiting the Brownell's receiver.

My green mountain stainless steel bull barrel is fluted and still feels like it weights more than the gun itself with the OE barrel

Not so sure that was the best choice unless I wanted to build the heaviest 10/22 known to man

Installed a JP Enterprises 15.5" MLOK rail on my precision upper last night. I had to grind the end of the rail down to so I could fit my suppressor on my 16" barrel and I did a pretty shitty job if I do say so myself. Oh well, function>form. But I seriously love the way these rails feel with the rough finish over all the rail and their MLOK tolerances are tighter so accessories tighten up better IMO.

I got their MKIII and the grip is crazy aggressive. Like to the point if you don't have callused hands you might be in trouble till you build some man hands up

Nice. I still havent shot mine and I've had it for two months. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow (I've been saying that since April).
