its legal for long guns. They can just get you for disturbing the peace if people freak out. Still legal to do though. Pistol are not however.

Pretty sure the law makes some very clear distinctions and that if you could conceal a rifle, you'd be legal to carry it wherever you want

That thing is sweet! I saw a kid(emo kid aged 15-18) and did a double take the other day..he was riding his bike down my hood with an AR stapped to his back..I noticed the orange tip on the barrel..

This might be a biased group of ppl...but what should I go with...

you can carry a rifle in plain view legally in Texas. Like Andy says though and I will agree its not a good idea cause of the panzees

Great question..I honestly think I would use both equally..perhaps the 1911 more if I got a holster for it(rail)..

My first pistol was a P14-45 Para double stack..was a broke college kid that carried that for about 2 yrs before I could afford to "downgrade" to a standard size 1911.
