Got the replacement "upgraded" top mounts in today from Icon........they look the fucking same as the ones that broke. I was expecting to see a little more material in the problem area or something. I don't see what the upgrade was, but I'm guessing a step up in material grade.

Waiting on the 1/4" spacer to fix my lean before I throw it all back together.

Changing the metal alloy can do a lot. I suspect some difference in heat treating, hardening, etc.

We'll see. I would bet they are the same with a new promise. The design sucks. But what the hell do I know? (Mech/Aero Engr, Managed Aero Space and engingeering teams for half of my career... )

I went through about 3 of them then removed the pos PIAA's all together.

All great, none directly relate to what I'm asking, which is: Does anyone know exactly what did or didn't change in their tophat "redesign"? I don't. It may be nothing. It may be something. I haven't checked, I can't be bothered enough to do so (mine are doing fine at the moment). Skepticism is fine, I don't blame you one bit. I'm saying conjecture doesn't give me any information.
