I got a little sidetracked and thought my 09 was being neglected so....

I got a new head unit yesterday: Kenwood DDX-512 DVD/CD/MP3

Cool.. I have a similar (DNX5120) unit in the new 4Runner. Built in Garmin nav is nice to have. Wish I would have bought two and put one in the Taco. Not a fan of the Alpine deck I have.. just kinda boring.

I might add the steering wheel adapter module and Nav later down the road.

Have to finish the 85 first though. The Alpine deck I wanted was was almost 250 more without the nav so....

I guess it will work for now.

I've read you can add the Garmin 1:24000 topo maps to the Kenwood nav units... well that was with the 8100 series anyhow. I haven't tried it.. just what I read.

I am going by the shop today to drop off my HiSteer, Longs and HP 3rd and of course to take some spy pics.

The tires should be going on tonight to check out the ride height numbers and the end is still getting worked on.

Well hit a little rough spot in the build.

The guys that have my truck right now have to move shops by the end of the month. So my build was suspended last week to move all the big shit. the guy was out of town for 2 funerals the week and a half before that. At least he isnt charging for taking up floor space

Good news is this week they will be ball to the wall on it I have to take my new brakelines and knuckle studs over tonight since I will be gone the rest of the week and probably hunting doves next weekend at our places in the South zone.

The IFS steering box is laid out (needs to be burnt in) and the truck could possibly be on all 4's by Sunday. Keeping my fingers crossed

PICS finally

I only got a couple. The wheelbase is sitting at 113" right now. Front has been burned in and pushed forward about 3.5" over stock. Approach angle is looking really nice. The overloads on the 63's are going to have to be trimmed down a little but other than that the rear is done

Here is a close up of the front stretch. I like it a lot. The front is about 1/2" high and will settle out with the bumper and winch installed

I will get some more pics on thurs or fri. Have to leave town for work tomorrow again. Getting the IFS box and shock hoops are next on the list.

I will be working on the MC swap, installing new brakelines, Headlight upgrade and Fuel pump/sender replacement this week. Crunch time is here!!
