Id leave it alone since you don't trailer it the bobbed bed really cuts into your gear capacity. Besides with as tall as your truck is departure angle shouldn't be a problem

It does drag ass. My departure angle isn't the best right now. Losing cargo capacity wont be too big of an issue as long as there is room for a cooler, a spare tire and my high-lift. It will get trailered sooner or later. I'm still gonna bob it. Just want to think it out a little before I start hacking on it. If I cut out 13 inches Ill have about 4 inches to add some 3x3 square tubing to box in the end of the frame. 13 inches off the bed will reduce a lot of drag on steep inclines and reduce a my turning radius as well. The only downfall will be that I will have to rework a new rear bumper so my Marlin rear will be up for grabs. Anyone interested? It will be coming off this weekend (if I get the time).

I cant fit my 37" spare and a cooler in mine but i also have a tool box occupying some real estate.
Other thing to consider since you have the 63" chevys is how far can you cut the frame back before you get into the shackle hangers

I can only cut about 4 inches off the end of the frame rails.

That they can.

The scrubbing area above my axles will decrease though. Along with improving my departure angle.
