Good to see it on all 4's again, I really like the stance, Are those the 35's?

Those are the 35's on there for now. My H1's are on the back burner untill I get it on the road.

Im digging the stance as well.

Got some updates yesterday.

The steering fluid res. bracket was fabbed to move the resi back about an inch due to the shock hoop and fender trimming. Should be trimming a little more of the inner fender for a little better access to the steering box

Brake lines are all hooked up and charged with fluid. Steering lines are hooked up to steering box.

Looks like the coil can be mounted back pretty close to the OEM position with a little massaging of the bracket to clear the DS shock hoop.

I think we got it figured out how the air box is going back on as well. Just having to work around the little things.

Hood louvres might be on today. I think JR and Myself found the right placement on the hood

Here are the pics of the shackle angles

Used the ol Hot Wrench to get the exhaust manifold off. Dale got the EGR ports plugged on the header with the TIG.
I got the Longfield Chromo hub gears installed into the hubs and the DS hub is installed. Need to get the other one put on still.

No pics I was too greasy. FYI hubs have a specific way to be reinstalled. Do Not pack them with grease till you have installed the C-clips on the axle. Then put the dial on. I made a f'n mess last night.

I like how the louvres turned out myself. We'll see if the underhood temps drop when I crank this bitch :)

So far the only bump in the road is the damn header wont go on for some reason. The guys at the shop are pretty mech. inclined, but Im gonna go and try to muscle that bitch in tonight myself before I call it quits and put the stock exhaust manifold on.

Bump stops, a return line for the steering box, 2 longer bolts for the lower front shock mounts, install the pass side hub and get that damn header on, finish the exhaust and the red truck will be ready for a test drive!

What kind of muffler do yall think I should run? Nothing too ricey and no glasspacks. I was looking at those cheap Thrush mufflers at 4WP just because they are cheap, but I dont know what they sound like.

Any suggestions?

The front bumper is on and painted. I need a hawse failead since the roller one is too big. Rear bumper should be getting rattle canned and installed today as well. Hood is finished just needs to be put back on.

Ill get some pics today

I'm running a Flowmaster on the ol 4Runner. It doesn't sound ricey at all, but its not quiet either. I actually think it sounds pretty good. I'll have to measure it to determine exactly which model it is.

Will probably end up using a Flomaster as well

Managed to get the header in last night as well. There was a heat shield keeping it from sliding into place. JR got that pulled off and we got the header in finger tight for now.

My only concern is that the header at the collector is slightly hitting the bellhousing of the trans. Is that going to be an issue when tightening down the header and a source of noise. Or will it eventually self clearance and not be an issue? That is why I left the header bolts finger tight for now.

You might be able to take some material out of the bellhousing to get it to clear IMO.

Got a couple of the finishing touches done yesterday:

Installed the pass side hub assembly

Clearanced the header with a hammer and got it reinstalled and torqued down

Most importantly, we rolled old red out to see some sunshine and flexed him out to measure for bump stops.

Gonna try and start him up today. Need to charge the battery up a little, he's been sitting a while.

Bumps should be on, reinstall the hood, check a couple other misc. things and maybe I get to run him the the muffler shop today.

Fingers crossed

looking sharp! Is that Three Red Toyotas in that garage?

There are 4 red ones in there right now. The Tacoma to the left of my truck is getting a solid axle. The runner to the right is the shop project truck. There is a silver Tacoma DC also getting SACed as well. The shop race truck is in the far left corner. The Runner on Tons is behind mine.
