Little Red 85 Build

Picked this up in Feb as a birthday present to myself. Always wanted and 85 E/C EFI

Spent some time cleaning up the engine bay:

Threw on a set of 35/12.5/15 BFG KM's

Recently got started on my donor 85 front axle. Added 3/8 spacer, knuckle gussets, ring gear guard, top axle truss

Picked up a set of Longfield 30 Spline axle shafts

Added a Marlin front bumper. Warn M8000 going on this week sometime.

To be done by the end of the month hopefully:

63's, 4in pack in front, finish prepping IFS rear axle, install my 529 geared and locked diffs (HP front w/ LockRite, V6 rear w/Detroit), finish up front axle install w/ Longs, burn in Marlin Front spring hanger and FROR bumper stiffener.

Just need the time to get it done

Picked up a 23 spline top shift TC with 4.7's yesterday. I has a broken output shaft but no biggie. I plan on making it into a crawl box for my Duals

Well as of yesterday, the red truck is scheduled to go to the shop next Wednesday.

The list:

Mount IFS Box
Burn in Marlin Font spring hanger, and FROR bumper stiffener
Mount front shock hoops, and 4 in leaf pack
Mount the 63's in the rear witht the Sky's Chevy 63" kit.

While the front axle is out, I will be swapping parts over to my donor housing (knuckles, hubs, calipers, rotors shock mounts to burn in) and mounting my Marlin HiSteer


My rear V6 IFS third with the 529's and Detroit is completed and en route to his new home at the Yota Ranch.
My front HP diff isnt complete (due to a mix up with the locker) Found another V6 Detroit for the front

Last and definately not least, my recentered H1' beadlocks are getting finished up as well so my 37" IROCS have a nice place to live

That is what I am hoping. We will see. I am a hoping to have this thing wheelable by the end of October for ICBM. Should be a super run to make. Maybe some of yall can make it as well

LOL.. man I've got a bunch of crap just bolted on. Its the hard shit I'm putting off... rear axle rebuild... rear main seal fix... anything that requires me to spend more than about 30 minutes in the garage. At least until it cools of a bit.

I will try. The shop Im taking it to is fairly close to my work and Dale is a fantastic fabricator/welder.

There will be some go fast holes and some pretty trick gussets/bracing incorporated

I need to work on my photo documentation skills. Sean and yourself really go overboard sometimes JK
