Interesting, I didn't read it that far all I saw was this & that was enough for me.

1992 FJ80 Land Cruiser with a Chevy 6.2L Turbo Diesel in Austin, TX - $7500 (NW Austin)

Yea all I saw was the "outfitted with custom turbo form early dodge cummins" part. I suck at reading.

Eeehhh, reading is over rated, I'm more of a skimmer myself. Enough to where I was second guessing myself on that one.

In any case I've never seen a turboed 6.2, might not suck but I know that in their stock N/A for they really blow if want to every go over 5 mph and have a usable torque curve.

GM are the only people to have produced such a design in the last 40 years. It's reliable as all get out just don't have the balls it should for it's size when compared to the turbo diesels. In stock for It's on par with a stock GM 305

Wrong, the 7.3 did not have turbo until mid 90's, my old work van had one that was na too, and the chevy 350 diesel from the 80's half ton was the worst one ever made they even told you at the dealer it was not for towing etc. Only for driving....lol

Really, the 7.3 was offered in N/A? but the 6.2 was the crap 350 GM diesel, don't know how they convinced the military to buy so many of those things every CUCV you see has one of them.

Yeah it came out na, my friends dad had a 92 3/4 with one, fuel milage sucked. We had/have a whole fleet of ecoline vans with them in it too, got pretty good low end but NO top. I thought the 6.2 was a 383? I know that's the ones the military uses and still does....lol
