Just found this forum, seems like a nice place!

I drive a 2005 4Runner, 4WD V8. Mostly stock, with an OME lift and welded sliders. I come from the road racing world, and I'm fairly new to the 4x4 arena.

My 4Runner is mainly a camping/expedition/overlanding vehicle, but I want to get more into offroading. More interesting in going interesting places and getting myself out of trouble than all-out mudding or rock crawling.

Already planning on going to the 10/1 meet at Bridgeport and looking forward to meeting some of you!

How is the V8? I almost went with one when I was shopping last time.

Love it. I bitched and moaned for years about how expensive they were until I sucked it up and bought one. Best vehicle I've ever owned.

I love my 3rd gen but am envious of the space and power of the 4th gen with the V8. I am looking forward to seeing it at Bridgeport. I have never seen one off road that I know of.

Brutalguyracing has one (member who rarely posts). Ive sat passenger with him on a few trips and driven it. I like the torque it has and it's V8 exhaust note. Not a fan of the hydro suspension though.

This. My boss races a Porsche 991 in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge.
Those are some fun cars. Sometimes I do miss running open track but then I think about everywhere I can go in the FJ.

So does that make 3 of us in the Sam building complex?

That's Mr Asshole to you
I don't think so. Not sure who the 3rd would be unless the new guy is here

Welcome and if it's dark out let @SamSter0077 help you park your rig.

Welcome. Nice rig. Kinda wish I would have gotten a 4th gen instead of my 5th gen.

Welcome. What did you used to road race?

I don't drive, actually. I'm an engineer for a company that builds racecars. This car is my main project, I designed a new long-arm suspension and I do all the electronics work:

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone.
