updates:

got my driver rear fox rebuilt by DSM..can't say enough about their service A+

had a hose pinch up against the shock mount and leaked oil EVERYWHERE! went all of moab with out a driver rear working shock :)

using new clamps, some rubber and a sanding block (hard yet has some moldability to it making a nice spacer)...i was able to put the reservoir off the rail some more to give the line a better angle to the main shock..

also had my passenger side projector shroud fall off while i was at moab...bought a new set of headlights off a TW member for $50 and replaced the clear lens while i was at it...much better now! put some sealant on the shroud to keep it from moving again...unfortunately now my driver side lens looks like crap, so eventually i'll be swapping out that lens as well

'89 runner v6, 38" crawlers, 3" trail gear springs i believe, forget where he got the cage from but it was shipped then he had to weld and mod it into the cab, 5.29s and swapped in 4.7 gears into his tcase, dual cases are coming up soon, hydro assist, not sure the specs on his axles but i'm sure its a solid build

that was the second worst i been stuck...

first will be hard to beat...

had my '94 pickup out around college after a rain storm to hit some mud and found a nice pit 15-20 feet wide..hit it fine one way, then took it in reverse to find there was a 3 foot ledge buried in the mud...got me stuck to the frame all around..

an s10 was bombin around the area and didn't even budge me...some guys doing some excavating work around the area stopped by with their F350..snapped a 15000lb tow strap trying to get me out...they said f' this and went back to their job site to get an excavator to get me out...hooked up a chain to both sides of my rear frame and lifted me out haha..lost 3/4 mud flaps and had mud for days under my truck..

my '94.

maintenance and body work updates..

got my squeaky door fixed, hammered out some of the new dents and put some new TRD OR decals on to help cover up the dents on the bedsides lol

squeaky door
after dealing with the squeaky door for a while, i started to analyze the noise more..loudest when the window was all the way down and about an inch up the noise went away...noise was a metal on metal sound that you'd notice hitting bumps or even going around turns.

original diagnosis was a broken door stay which would require a body shop to go in and fix the broken bracket..after the recent door damage, i was taking the panel off to bang the dent out anyway so i had a look...

a nut that holds the lower window track in place had came off...luckily when i took the door panel off, the nut fell straight down making it easy to find...tightened down and no squeak!!

missing nut

how it should be

and to help cover up some of the dents on the bedsides..had some sockmonkey decals to put on after touching up the body damage with some duplicolor..

thanks bud...yea i been eying that design from when it first came available...it's very fitting for a mountain truck...next time create a contract for royalty rights lol

as much as i'd like to say i don't expect many other mods to come, there will be more changes next year..

looking at 285/75/17 km2 sipped like a mofo (trying to keep the width skinny, but move up to a 34"), ATO ifs skid, doug thorley shorties, brake upgrades and a shackle flip...

i have a trip to holy cross coming up then i'm done with the hard stuff for the year...just a few more light trips around foliage time/first snow fall, then it's time to bust out the splitboard and get some boarding in :)
