As much as I want October to be here I need to get a bunch of crap done so I'll take the delay.

I hear you. I still need to install a rear bumper, winch, and wheels/tires. Give me a month or 2

@MatthewMay1 I know you're not going on this trip but I remember you saying you wanted to get a campstove like mine. Don't. It's a piece of junk. Get something else. This weekend will probably be the last time I use mine.

What is wrong with it?

The grill and skillet pieces that go over the burner are just super cheap and flimsy and don't fit well. The coating is also cheap and came off the second time I used the cleaning brush on them.

Well that sucks. That cheap teflon coating is not good when you ingest it either.

This is my favorite stove but sadly they don't make the fuel anymore. They sell an adapter for the standard butane canisters but it sucks. I have about 1.5 cans of the good shit left. :( When its gone its gone. Buts its been awesome and it folds up nicely.

Thats sucks... everything I have from them for the past few years has been great, but I have all cast iron and one of their huge 60,000 btu stand up grills. I like it so much I stopped using my Weber.

Write them a "nice" e-mail/letter and I bet they take care of it. They have great customer service.

So for the guys who have done this route, talk to me about pulling a small off-road trailer through it. Is it do-able? From the pics I've seen I think it is... but maybe there are some spots its impossible and I just haven't seen those pics. Edjumacate me. I'm also thinking of adding a small (4500-6000lbs) winch to the rear of the trailer to allow me to reposition it fairly easy should there be some very tight spots.

AR highest point is only like 2800ft above sea level, which was a mild hike for my boys, but that picture looks deceiving

Where was that takin at?
259 in Oklahoma
I'm guessing off highway 259 north of broken bow, ok.
Yep, somewhere in that area. In the Ouchita national forest, or however it's spelled

Hmm, okay noted. Probably won't be getting one for a while now that I won't be going on this trip

Bring it. Nothing too hard from our last routes. Only thing would be if we got into a right camping spot and had to back out or the road I went down that went no where and required a 6 point turn to get back out.

Those technical trails we hit when we turned in by the off-road park would suck with a trailer as well. Though Sean's truck is far more capable than any rig we had there last time so it probably.woukdnt be too miserable. They were really tight and had some sharp, off camber turns though.

You going with the Shittybuilt? How about I help you with this. Dont Blake on the trailer. Go with Schutt, Tuttle Back or the handfull of others that are proven.

I have plenty of inspirational builds to go from... ultimately the Shittybilt trailer is, seriously, what I was planning to build. Its 85% of what I had designed. Now there is a couple things I would change and I believe I can for little effort. That being said I just don't have time to get one built as much as I try. Shit fixing the Taco has been longer than I like.
