Okay; everyone drops the front sway bars for the increased IFS travel. What about the rear sway bar? While I was under my 4R yesterday afternoon I started thinking about the rear sway bar more. Is there an advantage to dropping it or should it stay?

I'd think about QD's on the rear one. Not sure I'd want all of them gone on a 4R.
x2. Part of the reason I went with secondary shocks up front was reduced sway as well on my truck.
Guess I will look into getting a set of QDs for the back.

one of my friends has been driving around in his with no sway bars or rear shocks for over a year. He can get the back end to hop with just some simple braking at a red light. /stupid story
Good example - guess I will get the QDs ordered sooner than later. I would like the extra travel when needed but do not care to die for it. I need to find an easy way to keep the sway bars out of the way once detached.

He gave me the fucking crazy one. Driving without the sway bar isn't scary at all you puss
"The" crazy one? You say that like they are not all crazy to some degree. As for the sway bars; it is not bad but my driving style is a little too aggressive for driving without the sway bar so I will probably order the QDs once the spare cash comes up. Until then I am going to keep the bar off.

He's never driven a rig with rear coils and no sway bars. Totally different story in a taco. She corners on the door handles for sure, but a 4 runner would corner on the sides.. Sliding to the ditch.
I'm going to try to avoid the sliding on my side part. The paint is too pretty right now to mess it up on asphalt.
