Oil Leak

I was checking my oil level yesterday and noticed that oil was leaking from what looks to be the valve cover right above the dipstick. Has anyone else had this problem? I just sent a service request to my dealer for next week when we get back from our beach meet.

Mine has never leaked a drop. Sucks man make the dealer fix it.

No shit, is it bad? Mine has just a little bit of oil but with only 8k it shouldnt have a drop, I noticed it before when I changed the oil at 4k, and just thought maybe it was from the motor braking in. I have a appointment at the dealer Monday the 4th, and it damn well better get fixed.

Yeah thats the same thing I have, I cleaned it off at 4k and just noticed it again yesterday. I didnt notice it when I put on my catch can, so it did it between now and the last BVORR meet because I checked my oil before going out.

Watch out, i guarantee you that the dealer is going to try to use that catch can as part of the problem even though its not...

yea i guess ill pull mine tomorrow and drive in and see what they say when i pull it all i have to do is just skip the can right and go right back to the fitting on the motor?

Yes, but the best thing to do would be put the factory rubber hose back on.

Doubt it. Somehow I have several factory PCV hoses laying around???

I probably insisted that you keep them like I normally do.

I found it in the box from the catch can with extra hose, my busted 7-pin and some other BS

Well you could have some fucked wheel bearings like me and a leaking/seeping rear diff. At least you found the OEM stuff to put back on.
