Paintball

My adventures in paintball have dried up. Spent all that $ and kids lost interest "playing at the house". I have prob 2 thousand rounds of HK Army paint still new in the box and another 2 thousand in paint haulers.

When you signed up for the subscription I envisioned you choking on paint lol

I just shot the rest of the stuff I had been sitting on since winter this past weekend. Was all over the place as I imagined.

Skirmish makes you use their paint and they check the hoppers so I'm driving up empty. I had my hopper checked at least three times last year on the field during play.

Think next year I'm bringing my nephews and doing my own thing. The group I joined up with 7 years ago is falling apart at the seams. Think like 10 guys dropped out this week then I found out no one got tickets yet. I don't even know if I'm allied or German and their is a significant difference in my prep. Allied runs into bullets all day in the sun and has easy access to air and paint. Germans sit in the tree line and pick off people running into their bullets w/ bad access to air or paint.

Yeah I cancelled that shit the first time I loaded up and they didn't jump in the truck to go lol.

Wind was just removed from my sails. I might need to go in the basement and hit the ol punching bag for a little bit to work off the rage I currently have.

Just got off the phone with the guy who brought me into this group 6 years ago and not just 10 people from their core group flaked out now his son is also flaking out (core group is al of his sons friends). When I answered his call my first comment was "are we down to 3 now" (him, his son, and me) and his response was "even less, how about 2". We decided it's not worth it for both of us to drive there and set up camp for two people to play one day so we canceled the trip. So glad I did no food prep and was waiting till I got up there to buy local groceries, beer, and ice or I'd prob thrown something through a wall by now.

This is exactly why I never go on any trips unless Ive planned them ~ Ive never canceled a camping trip in my life. Seems every time someone else sets stuff up it gets canceled or changes dates after Ive taken off work. This trip 'was' the exception for over half a decade so I guess I should be happy with that.

We already started planning next year. No one from the core old school group is to be depended on for anything because they killed it this year. I'm taking deposits from everyone that says they are in early then buying the tickets myself. People are far less likely to cancel if they have some skin in the game. Also going to get some locals and their kids from down here to head up with me. Hopefully also bring my nephews. The core group had some shitheads I would not bring children around, but if they flaked this year last minute they won't show face next year so hopefully all the bad examples of men won't be attending. If they do they can set up their own camp next door and stay up for 48hrs while tripping balls like they did last year. Idiots didn't even play ~ Just came to get baked and stumble around.

Its fucking true... guy was solid. If he said he would show... he would show. I tried to follow the same. But he was driving from 4+ hours away and always stuck true. Haven't heard from him in years, hope life it doing him well.

Sounds like a wheeling trip. Starts out and everyone wants to go... in the end its 2 guys and Randy. You could always count on Randy. @taco4x4rar

old member brutalguyracing was the only friend I have like that. He's from Long Island (about 4hr drive w/traffic) and I'd camp & wheel more with him then people who live 5 min away. Guy never canceled anything in his life. He also wouldn't confirm anything either lol, but all be damned if he wasn't already at the spot a day before me when I'd show up or he'd surprise us by showing up on day one when no one thought he would. A mans word still carried some weight with him.

Heck I had a good friend from grade school cancel on me last August and Ive not returned any of his calls since. I set up and scheduled a 40th birthday party for him camping because that's what he wanted to do. A month prior he changed the dates to the following weekend and all my buddy's and myself were already booked and couldn't change things up.

As I get older I certainly have MUCH less patience for people who's word is worthless. Pretty much write them off immediately. Ain't nobody got time for that crap

Grabbed a new regulator for my 98's tank. I was running at 1200psi and that's killing the o rings. Only needs 800 psi. Prob why it was also shooting like total poop. Also grabbed a tank reg tool from custom products & some high quality high pressure teflon tape to do the swap.

Anyone want a Ninja Pro V2 SHP reg only been used 3-4 times? Ill let it got for $50 (40% off). No idea what gun would even use that pressure? Only dumb dumbs like me buy it I guess? lol

Also finally got some tank and hopper cases. Gotta say Valken cases suck and Exalt cases are far superior, but I was cutting corners on my budget so cheapo Valken cases I went.

Now I'm officially done. Don't need any more crap or tools. Except this gun just came out and Ive been itching to do some mag-fed games Emek MG100 | Planet Eclipse

It would be nice to nail some people playing woodsball with some first strike rounds that are out past 100 yards

No I have no need either lol

That's a badass gun. I like the idea of the mag feed for mil sim and woodsball stuff, but you'd get wiped out doing anything else.

I'm much more methodical with my play than the spray and pray guys so this may fit the bill. I prefer to stalk and take long shots so if I can quite smoking again my reward with the left over smoke money is going to be that gun for taking some long shots lol

We shall see how good the Emek 100 shoots tomorrow for the first time in game play.

Also going to swap regs tonight on my one tank from super high pressure to medium. I was running way to high of a pressure for my 98 and I'm guessing that's why it was chopping so much paint and shooting irratic. After I buffed it, changed out the springs, and bolt it tested great but my tank was also running low. I suspect/hope the change from 1,200psi to 750-800 will help.

This weekend was the weekend the kids ate crap. One kid got a throat shot right next to his adams apple that bled and he cried for a good 5 minutes before we got him motivated and back on the field. Another got shot in the nuts and was down for 10 minutes before we could talk him back into playing. My nephew took a goooood fall and broke his hopper, barrel, and blew up his carbon fiber tank. Luckily I brought my 98 for a back up gun otherwise he'd of had a rental 98 that they chrono in at 180fps lol

Skipped lunch and just snacked in between rounds and played from 10am-5pm so my legs are absolutely toasted from running all day. Thank goodness for handrails on stairs or I'd have a interesting morning at work getting up and down from my office to the warehouse :money:

Was happy to spend some time with my nephew. He's missing some critical skills like how to give a proper handshake, how to introduce himself, and how to say goodby to a man. Same for women. Also caught him in a lie - little white lie, but a lie no less. other than that he was great. Kinda glad I caught that crap and put an end to it immediately. No idea what his fathers doing, but things a 9you should have down pat a 14yo clearly doesn't. Makes me feel bad I didn't spend more time with his older brother. Think I'm going to start taking the younger one out at least a weekend a month for some mentoring and hopefully he can avoid the pitfalls his brother is finding. Ill hide it as "paintballing", but in reality it will be providing a good mentor/big brother type atmosphere. He opens up to me about things he will not tell his parents. Just found out last week the parents have him on Prozac and thats got my head spinning, but I have no clue what goes on behind closed door and thats none of my business right now. I just know thats a career killer if he ever wants to work for the gubment in any capacity.
