I agree but we can be costly!
An electrician, eh
So in your "un-official no liability" opinion, have I got it right?
I agree but we can be costly!
i would still open up the plug on the welder and see if it even uses the 4 wires haha i should know this being its my welder but shit its been like 4 years
The plug on your welder only has 3 holes (X Y G)
120/120/grounding conductor...
now plug everythig in and use a wooden broom handle to turn flip the switch on the welder to "ON"

That's why they invented Welding Gloves,![]()
As long you are cool with that then go ahead. I'm not ashamed to admit that I am scared of 220 outlets.

So about that admin password
:eek:now plug everythig in and use a wooden broom handle while standing in a bathtub full of water to turn flip the switch on the welder to "ON"
i knew the welder didnt use all four wires
The tards that wired the house in 1970 did the 220 Breakers outside on a corner of the house that is not anywhere near the garage
The only thing I don't have on the dryer plug is a ground. I can grab that off of the washer plug if it's not already in the wall behind the dryer plug. Then I'll just split off the other wires to a new plug for the welder and make sure I don't run both at the same time,.
As did I, just had to make sure I had the right 3
aye haha you get it to work?
I think so, haven't fired it up yet though. You wanna give it a try with me tomorrow? We can weld the shackle hangers and tac the Spring hangers
