Ok, so I picked up a new rig. Not so much a project since its damn near ready to go. But it will have substantial changes along the way. Its a 91 Reg cab pickup, bobbed and dovetailed, only straight sheetmetal is the stuff that points to the sky. Its seen its share of trails but its a solid rig. Built with the good stuff.

Things I must do before I can wheel it
Driveshaft for the rear. Debating between a square tube or round. Square is just noisy.- 2.5"x.25 wall square tube done

New battery.. the Optima that was in it I gave away with Clyde. I'll be picking up a Platinum. - Platinum - done

New Power Steering belt, it squeals pretty bad under load. Might need a new pulley as well. We'll see. -New PSC hydro assist done

Then the things I 'want' to do.
Replace the steering wheel... that OEM wheel is horrible. Time for a wheel like I had on Clyde. - Grant wheel added along with new column trim - Done

Add a handle to the rollbar to ease getting in and out. - Done

Marine cupholders!! This probably should be in the "Things I have to do before I can wheel it" category. :D - Done

Add the stereo components I had for Clyde. Sony marine headunit, Polk Audio marine amp and Polk marine speakers. - Done - went with iPod interface for head unit though

Install the Cobra 29 CB I have, along with the Firestik and other CB stuff. - Done

4Xinnovations Tube doors - with kickout - Done

12-15 gallon fuel cell in the bed. - 15 Gallong RCI fuel cell with Artec mounts - Done

HiLift mount -- once I complete the bed

MAYBE new front sheetmetal... maybe. - Done

Taillight housings with lens (just for looks really so its REALLY low on the list) - - Pulled bed and built flat bed

Paint.. flat gray - Done

New winch.. Warn M8000 more than likely. - Done went with Superwinch 8500

Might go with a flatbed/backhalf cage at some point - Done

RuffStuff 7/8ths Hiem steering with 1.5x.25 wall drag link and tie rod - Done

Sky Mfg Chromo pitman arm - Done

TG Chromo flanges with ARP 2000 studs - Done

Corbeau 3" harnesses - Done

New radiator and fan are in the garage awaiting install

I bet your neighborhood collectively facepalmed when that was pulled off the trailer...

Look forward to seeing it in person.

Especially since its spooled F&R so turning on pavement is not something it likes to do. LOL

I'm planning to have it ready for HF on the 15th of April. Should be very do-able to get it ready.

The thing is so freaking flexy.. just moving it around it wiggles like Jello. I've got a shitload of Swamper tracks in my driveway because of the spools, it just leaves marks as it goes. :)

Nice rig Sean, I really like the Addicted off-road front bumpers, that is what I hope and plan for mine when the time comes.

Thanks Rob.

Well I had to order the raw 2" ID seamless tubing off the web. Isn't sold locally... well I suppose I could buy a 2' hitch extension and cut it up. But I'd rather have the raw steel to start with. Anyhow, square tube driveshaft project is going to be underway as soon as it arrives.
